TOP Winners of the MISOR FOTOFEST Tourism Week Edition Photography Competition 2019

The month of September marks the province-wide Tourism Week celebration of the province of Misamis Oriental. The event officially started last September 16 with the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Municipal Capitol Grounds and was followed by a Ribbon Cutting of the Photos and Painting Exhibit by the Camera Club of Cagayan de Oro, showcasing the different destinations in the province including the photos taken during the Kuyamis Festival 2019. The event lasted until September 20 with a great thanksgiving held at the Event Center, Centrio Mall-Ayala, Cagayan de Oro City.

One of the official events of the celebration was the MISOR FOTOFEST Tourism Week Edition Photography Competition, a social photography event presented by the Misamis Oriental Tourism Culture and Arts Council, in full cooperation with the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental and Clement Dampal Photography. 

The photography competition includes 3 different categories, 2 categories for conventional using DSLR, mirrorless, and point and shoot camera: Travel Category, and Food Category, and 1 category for mobile using of smartphones.

The photography competition gathered a number of different skilled level participants from hobbyists to photography title holders, from beginners to amateurs, and from mobile enthusiasts to professionals joining the photo contest for both Conventional and Mobile Categories. Participating photographers and mobile users under the Travel and Mobile Categories had joined and special travel and photo safari at the Mineral Mountain, Mt Anggas, located in Gitagum, Misamis Oriental with the support of the Municipality of Gitagum last September 18, 2019.

Nonetheless, the Top winners for the three categories were announced at the Activity Center, Centrio Mall-Ayala.

Grand Prize Winner for the conventional category under Travel received P10,000.00 cash, plaque of award, photography items, and gift pack from R.O.X., Top 2 Winner received P7,000.00 cash, plaque of award, photography items, and gift pack from R.O.X., and Top 3 Winner received P5,000.00 cash, plaque of award, photography items, and gift pack from R.O.X. Additionally, Top 4 to 10 received plaques of award, camera accessories, and gift packs from both R.O.X., and Columbia PH brands. Meanwhile, the Grand Prize Winner for the Food category received P3,000.00 cash, and Top 2 Winner received P2,000.00 cash, with plaques of award, photography items, gift packs from R.O.X., respectively.

Meanwhile, tthe Grand Prize Winner for the mobile category received P2,000.00 cash,plaque of award, photography accessories, gift pack from Columbia PH, Top 2 Winner received P2,000.00 cash and plaque of award, photography accessories, gift pack from Columbia PH, and Top 3 Winner received photography accessories and gift pack from Columbia PH.
