PIRATA, a local board brand based in Iligan City, LOCAL MOVEMENT, a non-profit organization composed of young and competitive individuals from Iligan City in partnership with the City of Iligan presents the 2nd Diyandi Board Fest Skimboarding Competition happening on September 22-23, 2018 at Bucana Beach Resort, Iligan City in celebration of the annual Diyandi Festival.
LOCAL MOVEMENT had been organizing several invitational and national downhill events in the city for 6 years already including the 2nd Diyandi de Bajada Longboarding Festival held last year at C3 Road Pala-o, Iligan City, the PIRATA SKIM and SURF FEST held at Villa Lacida Beach, Linamon, Lanao del Norte, and the 10km Downhill Mayor's Cup held at Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte.
The 1st Diyandi celebrated last year (2017) gathered many spectators and had become a major event of the Skimboard and Surfing community to look forward. This is part of the effort in pushing for a more sustainable means to life through activities enriching the community's understanding of the sport.
The 2nd DIYANDI PIRATA Boardfest Skimboarding is also the 1st LEG of the Mindanao Skim Tour. This event will have 4 different categories namely Master, Advance, Kids, and Game of Skim.
Additionally, other activities will be highlighted for the two-day board festival such as hammock party and the famous Bikini Abri. Local artists in the music industry will also showcase their different genre during the event. Registration fee is P250.00 only.
